The NS-1 is a DC-powered noise generator in the 100-1500 MHz range.
The NS-1 allows you to perform a quick test of the RF channel. It can be connected between the antenna and the receiver and is DC powered. After running a scan on the receiver, the result can be viewed as the channel bandwidth.

This means that it can perform several tests and measurements:

• estimate the path loss
• check the global condition of the coaxial cable
• check the coherence of the filtering (if it exists, of course!)
• test the DC power supply
