The Emesser ATE 308 Set from Ambient Recording is an ultracompact true condenser figure-8 microphone with accessories, intended to convert any boom mic on the fly into an M/S stereo system. It allows you to add a bit of stage to dialogue but also capture textured room tones or even ambiance sounds in pristine stereo without the need to change your setup, no matter what mic is in use.

Featuring a high-quality real condenser powered on a 48V phantom, it delivers an enhanced dynamic range required for critical recordings. Compared to the predecessor model ATE 208, the ATE 308 offers a redesigned capsule merged with the preamp design of Ambient's Soundfish Hydrophone series. The result is a warm, natural sound with the perceived noise floor cut by more than 50%.
