The AFR-250S is an optical/RF converter. Used with the AFB-250 it let you take advantage of the propagation of light on the mono-mode fiber.
The AFR-250S can be used in several situations, it can be used on a sound card, in a bag, or integrated into a watertight case. If you need, up to 4 units could be fixed on a 19″ bar (ask us for more information).
The 1.3″ OLED display shows important information:
- RF level on each channel
- optical loss on each channel
- power supplies voltage
- attenuator’s values on each channel
LEDs light up to indicate a too-strong RF signal or too much optical loss.
Setting an attenuator will help the expert to fine-tune sensitivity/noise in multi-antenna situations.
There is two way of powering the AFR-250S, the classical one is through a DC push-pull connector, and the other one is through the DC feed voltage coming from the receiver or active antenna splitter/combiner. The AS-62 and AS-122 can be used to power it.
The AFR-250S enclosure is made of aluminum, build to last, and recyclable.
